China scale up opportunities unveiled for Belgian startups at BeCentral 在华发展机遇比利时创客专场在BeCentral举行
On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, three major players of China’s tech and innovation scene were invited at BeCentral to showcase programs and initiatives they put in place to support the development of European startups and their successful growth into the Chinese market.

Who was there?

Opening the event were Laurent Hublet – Co-Founder and Managing Director of BeCentral, brand-new digital campus in the heart of Brussels fostering digital skills – and YANG Xiaoguang, Counsellor of the Chinese Mission to the EU, illustrating remarkable facts and figures on the rapid development of the Chinese startup scene.

Here in a nutshell the programs and initiatives unveiled:
– Overseas talents attraction policies and International Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition by the city of Shenzhen – the Silicon Valley of manufacturing – presented by MAO Xi, Representative of Shenzhen’s European Office for Trade & Investment;
– Protechting 3.0, Lisbon-based acceleration program for startups focusing on medtech, insurtech and fintech, culminating with a roadshow to China, presented by Sandra Freimuth, Member of the Executive Board of Hauck & Aufhäuser Privatbankiers, Fosun Chief Representative & General Global Communication Partner;
– China-Belgium Technology Center (CBTC), business gateway for EU-China technology cooperation in Leuven-La-Neuve, presented by LUO Yucheng, Manager of Investment and Construction Department of United Investment Europe.
